Cultural Artifact NFTs are physical artifacts handmade by culture keepers according to tradition (eg. Genta, the ceremonial bell used in traditional ceremonies in Bali).
Quantum Temple partners with local artisans to revitalize handmade ceremonial and decorative artifacts that are at risk of being lost. We provide supply-chain finance, promotion and distribution to local artisans so they can increase the production quality and value of their crafts. This initiative not only helps protect and restore ancestral techniques and motifs but also helps provide new incentives for current and future generations to preserve their skills.
Cultural Artifact NFTs will be available to buy and sell on the Quantum Templeโs native NFT marketplace โ 45% of proceeds from primary sales and 4.5% of secondary sales will benefit directly the artisans who produced them in perpetuity.
Given the limited, small batch production capabilities of our partner artisans, Cultural Artifact NFTs will be available in limited quantities and auctioned in live events. Each NFT collectible can be redeemed as a physical artifact through dedicated forging events.
Quantum Templeโs Cultural Artifact NFTs are ceremonial and decorative artworks with pivotal cultural relevance and at risk of being lost.
Below you can find a preview of the launch Cultural Artifact NFTs from the Bali Collection: the Genta is a ceremonial bell forged by the Pandes, a clan of master blacksmiths that traces back to the 15th century.
It may look simple, but it takes over 70 hours to craft, and the creative process can only begin on auspicious days in the Balinese calendar. The Genta, is forged from Paรฑcadhฤtu, a unique alloy of gold, silver, copper, zinc and iron. Together, these metals are believed to bring balance, confidence, health, prosperity and peace.
We aim to release our first collection of Cultural Artifact NFTs in Q1 2023. Stay tuned for the next update!
